A Window Into Brilliance

I wrote in a recent post about the power of Dr. Bob Sanet’s seminars, the value in preserving the experience on video, and the pure gratitude felt when understanding the content is available for years to come, thanks to Emergent. I have also really been enjoying the hundreds of pages of commentary offered by another great of our profession, Dr. Leonard Press, which are offered along with the videos, which could easily stand alone as a separate gem of knowledge. With these two incredible minds meeting to create this package, it is impossible to overstate the depth of wisdom shared, the compassion that continually shines through, and the value of having it all at one’s fingertips to watch over and over as our own learning progresses. I have been viewing and reviewing the content over the last several weeks and continue to find pearls of wisdom to put into practice each and every time I log in.

After reading and sharing my last post, Dr. Benjamin Winters, reached out to ask if I would be interested in participating in an interview with both Dr. Sanet and Dr. Press. The subject matter would be simple: understanding directly from these two VT gurus exactly how Dr. Sanet’s seminars evolved, discussing the ‘X’ factor that creates such a powerful learning environment, and most importantly, the reason it has translated exceptionally well to film.

The four of us met via Zoom about a week ago, and for more than 90 minutes, had a very memorable conversation. Considering 2024 will be the final live iteration of the Sanet Seminar Series, it was an opportunity to hear first hand from Dr. Sanet why he feels his seminar has been so powerful over the last 25 years, his motivation for continuing to teach well beyond his years in private practice, and the message he hopes his teachings continue to convey in video. Listening to Dr. Press discuss his process of reviewing the seminar, his own experiences attending the seminar, and deciding where and how to offer his own commentary in the project, was both powerful and incredible. Having the two of them together, seemingly to myself, felt like a momentary window into brilliance!

Dr. Winters is in the process of editing the raw footage and will make the conversation available to the general public. For those interested, please stay tuned, as I will be sure to share the information on viewing the video as it becomes available. Cheers!
