Tuesday Think Tank – For Sharing VT Activities

Hello All – I’d like to invite you all to a virtual 90 minute “Think Tank” session tomorrow morning (Tuesday) at 8:30am PST/11:30am EST. Our goal is to have many people share how they have adapted specific “in-office” activities to apply over a virtual medium. Basically, it’s going to be a big game of show and tell! If you have a computer and are comfortable sharing an activity or idea you’ve adapted through shared screens, please come ready to show your excellence! Or if you’re scrambling to learn this new VT method of delivery on the fly (like most of us), please come along and enjoy some new ideas.

  • I’ve never used zoom before – I see all the info in the blog, but do I need to sign up for something or set up a zoom account for myself in order to participate in the Think Tank? Nothing special needed. Simply click on the link when the time comes, and follow the directions. It’s very user friendly! 🙂

  • Just some guidelines as I use this regularly for all kinds of “meetings”
    1. Turn on your video so everyone can see you. Nobody cares if you have your hair fixed or not – we are all in the same boat>:))
    2. If you have animals or kids running around, click the mute icon unless you want to speak. We can make it through you speaking and the dogs barking but we don’t want to hear them when everyone else is talking.
    3. Even if there is no one else around – does your chair squeak? Noises are amplified and disturb everyone else and even though you have your headset on and may not be able to hear it, it can be bothersome.
    4. It is OK to talk with others in the house as long as you have it on mute – but don’t forget to turn mute off when you want to say something.

Just a few things I have encountered over the years.

Thank you for putting this together. Is it ok for my doctor to sit in as well?

All are invited. To be sure everyone has a spot (we are limited to 100), try to share computers when possible. Thanks!
